SOUTHWEST COMPANION PASS WINDOW IS CLOSING

Hey friends,

TODAY, new Southwest Personal Offers were JUST announced (KEEP READING!!). This is going to help lots of you quickly earn the BOGO Companion Pass for the rest of this year and all of 2027 really quickly. Thank goodness.

Before I share the offers, I want to make sure you know exactly what your options are to earn it before it's too late.

⚠️ The deadline here is December 2 for both strategies. You need to apply and be approved in time for your welcome bonuses to count toward the 2026 calendar year (which is what gets you the Companion Pass for 2027).

There are two paths depending on your situation.

✈️ OPTION 1: Business Card First (Best Strategy)

If you can apply for a business credit card, then you should DEFINITELY choose option 1 (and hopefully you already applied!!). Here's why:

Southwest business cards don't count against Chase's 5/24 slots. Data points are showing strongest approval odds now at 3/24 for sole proprietors (which I'm sure most small businesses are). Note: If you have an LLC + EIN, I'd use it to apply.

Step by step:

  1. Apply for Southwest® Rapid Rewards® Premier Business Credit Card or the Southwest® Rapid Rewards® Performance Business Credit Card
  2. Apply for any Southwest personal card (see them below!). You cannot have one currently open.
  3. Complete both minimum spends in the appropriate time.

Both bonuses will count. You'll earn the 135,000 Companion Pass qualifying points needed.

✈️ OPTION 2: Elevated Personal Card Offers

Can't apply for the business card or didn't get approved? You're not out of luck yet.

NEW ELEVATED OFFERS!!!

Southwest personal cards now are now ELEVATED. Here's the breakdown:

• Southwest Rapid Rewards® Plus Credit Card — Earn 80,000 bonus points after spending $1,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening.

• Southwest Rapid Rewards® Premier Card — Earn 85,000 bonus points after spending $2,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening.

• Southwest Rapid Rewards® Priority Credit Card — Earn 90,000 bonus points after spending $3,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening.

My take? Go for the Southwest Rapid Rewards® Priority Credit Card at 90,000 points. (You can downgrade it after a year to the lower fee version)

Here's the math:

90,000 (welcome bonus)

+ 10,000 (anniversary points for having the card)

= 100,000 points

You'll need 35,000 more points to hit 135,000. How many do you need? Meaning, do you already have some? Check by opening your app and tapping the little person on the top right. You'll see something like this:

If you STILL need more points, here's how to get there:

  • Refer two friends: Southwest pays 20,000 points per referral.
  • Book through Southwest Hotels: use a non-refundable stay so the points post quickly. It is IMPERATIVE to have the points post in 2026!
  • Look at your November/December expenses: taxes, holiday gifts, insurance, tuition, charitable giving - it all adds up faster than you think!

Cheering you on!! Can't think you enough for using my links when you apply! Let me know what questions you have :)

xo Amber
