Q: What if I Don't Own A Business?

A: You probably do. Or can by the end of the day. Sell things on Marketplace. Teach piano lessons (ok, some of these you can't start doing by the end of the day - I'm sorry I quit piano lessons, mom!). Maybe you rent out your basement. Maybe you tutor or coach. Maybe you drive for Uber or DoorDash occasionally. Maybe you mow lawns. These are businesses.

The first time you apply for one of these cards, you can likely qualify as a sole proprietor. The name of the business is your name. (Example: Amber Paul) and I would apply using my SSN.

👉 HOW TO OPEN BUSINESS CARDS WITHOUT A TRADITIONAL BUSINESS​

Q: What if I've had one of these cards before?

Rules have changed. Data points show that you're most likely to be approved again if you apply using an EIN + LLC.

Q: How can I change my cash back rewards to points back?

When you hold one of the following cards you can combine your points to convert your cash back rewards for points:

Q: I don't have one of those cards (listed above), but my spouse does. Is that good enough?

A: If you live in the same household, you can typically combine your points. You'll need to call the first time and ask Chase to link your accounts. I'd recommend being together and calling on speakerphone.

On the other hand, maybe you want to take advantage of this great offer, but you don't yet have a Chase Sapphire. You could open an Ink card first and open one of the Sapphire cards later. Then you can combine your points.

Q: Can I refer my spouse?

A: This is another change. 😭😭 You can no longer receive referral points if they already have a Chase business count.
